Oral Hygiene Instructions
Hold the toothbrush at 45 degrees towards the teeth and the gums. Use gentle force back and forth in a “jiggling” motion to remove the plaque between the teeth and the gums.
After that hold the toothbrush at 45 degrees towards the upper part of the braces and brush in a back and forth motion. Subsequently hold the toothbrush at 45 degrees towards the lower part of the braces and brush in a back and forth motion.
Lastly, brush the biting surfaces in a back and forth motion.
Use a small interdental toothbrush to clean in between the brackets. Remember to hold it adjacent to the bracket for maximal effects.
Use a fluoride mouthrinse daily to supplement your brushing. This will reduce risks of enamel decalcification, tooth decay and gum disease.
